| Chantal
Nicaise |
Vocal |
| Chantal Nicaise inherited a passion for
singing from her very childhood, (she learns the rudiments of music
and plays the piano). As an adult she learns dance (tap- & jazz
dancing) and will later teach. Attracted by music-hall and jazz, she
developed her own working method, the efficiency of which is seen
in her creating the VIBRATO school in ’88. |
| |
In the same period, she appeared on stage with the Gilbert
& Sullivan Co., the Revue at the Brussels Théâtre
des Galeries, made choreographies for the Studio Cen troop, the Compagnie
des Pas Perdus, Razzle Dazzle, I.A.D as well as in TV shows. She’s
also a member of Mamemo, a group which tours for children in Belgium
and France (Olympia, Printemps de Bourges), of the International Big
Band, the Peter Welch Blues Band, the Freddy Couché Big Band,
the Blue Steels etc. |
These many experiences and discoveries led
her and 2 colleagues to create the vocal jazz-trio “Swing a
Song” (‘92-’96).
A 1st CD came out in 2001 with 6 compositions of hers and, soon…
as a cartoon and movie fan, she has joined IXHOR,
naturally ! |

| Jean-Pierre
« Boul » Cosy |

Jean-Pierre “Boul” Cosy started
studying percussion in the Academy of Music of Wavre where he soon
felt fascinated by jazz and joined the academy’s Big Band.
He then took lessons with famous Belgian drummer Luc Vanden Bosch. |

Always drawn to new experiments, he contributed to the
creation of several “bop” and “cool” jazz
groups.
Between ’82 & ’94 he’s been active with the
well known “Bab’s” group in Europe and abroad, and
especially enjoyed playing with piano player Dr Gab’s in trio

Since ’97, he is the satisfied –and satisfying !- drummer

happiness and feeling. |
His interest in experimentation led him to follow Xavier-Edouard
Horemans and
in the "Disney Jazz" adventure. And we can say that he gives
himself thoroughly to the cause, with happiness and feeling. |
